Get a short digest of each Portland City Council meeting by email, written from the transcript and linked to the moments in the recording.

What you get

Each digest covers one meeting: what came up, who spoke, and what the council decided. Timestamps in the digest open the recording at the moment in question, and every email links to the full transcript.

Digests cover full City Council sessions, work sessions, and committee meetings. They are written automatically from the transcript, so check the recording before you quote anyone.

How often

Choose one of two schedules when you sign up.

  • After each meeting. One email per meeting, soon after its transcript and digest are published.
  • Weekly roundup. One email on Monday morning that lists the past week’s meetings with a short summary of each. Weeks with no new meetings send nothing.

To switch schedules, sign up again with the same address and choose the other option. The change takes effect when you confirm.

How to stop

Every email has an unsubscribe link. Most mail apps also show an unsubscribe button for Windowbox messages. Unsubscribing deletes your address. The privacy policy explains what we store while you’re subscribed.
